What's with the weather?

This week was beautiful! Glorious sunshine all week, at least 2 of the 4 feet of snow on the ground melted. I finished my current "inside" project and am itching to get outside. March is always the longest month of the year. Taunting, teasing sunny days with incomprehensibly slow melting ice. Of course I can't seem to stick to any kind of indoor exercise plan and so I spend a lot of time doing puzzles with the kids and reading novels. I feel like running around in circles screaming like my children sometimes.
The bike is hanging sadly in the basement. Every time I go down to do laundry I reassure her that the snow piled up against the windows will soon be gone. Soon we will be out on the road, the wind in our hair. Slogging up the hills and flying down the other side. The boys are always asking when we can go for a ride and we all heave a sigh when I reply,
"Soon honey"
The plans for the brakes, and trailer bike are going well, I was delighted to discover that a small set of panniers could be put on the Moose rack for extra storage on our rides. I think a handlebar bag would also be a good idea. Snacks and water are the key to happy kids on a long ride.
